officers investigate accident on Utopia Parkway in Fresh Meadows, Queens that left a pedestrian on the sidewalk in critical condition Monday morning. A man strolling down the sidewalk on a tree-lined block of Fresh Meadows, Queens was critically injured Monday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck that jumped a curb, cops said.

An off-duty cop was charged with driving drunk after he got into an accident in Queens, police said Monday. Officer Albert Robles, 37, was charged with driving while intoxicated. He allegedly crashed into another car 7:10 a.m. Sunday at 47th Ave. and 69th St. in Woodside. Police said there were no injuries.

The first hit-and-run happened in Queens at around 4:30 a.m. when Enrique Clemente-Ovando, 29, of Elmhurst, was struck and killed about a mile from his home, according to cops. The driver fled the crash in a beige Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania plates, police said. Cops said the car was traveling east on Astoria Blvd. when it struck Clemente-Ovando, who was attempting to cross the road near 31st Ave.

A 35-year-old man was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Queens early Sunday, police said. The victim, a Brooklyn man whose name was not immediately released, was mowed down as he tried to cross Woodhaven Blvd. at Jamaica Ave. about 3:15 a.m., cops said. He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he died. Police are looking for a white Honda sedan seen leaving the scene.
